Childhood memories
Do you remember all the special sweets and plates you just loved as a kid? I do and once in a while I like to just try some of them. Unfortunately, somehow our tast changes a lot and the good old things aren't so good anymore. The strawberries above are really interesting. I used to love them but to be honest they are gross. The tast is awfully artifical and they are not really sweet. Either the manufacturer changed the recipe or all the deliciouse healthy food I ate changed my internal "like-list".

Vegetarian food
I should take my camera with me when I go to lunch more often. I don't know why the vegetarian lunch schedule is so horrible. Some weeks ago I met the canteen's chef and we had a conversation like this:
I: If you don't mind could you introduce a vegetarian burger into the meal plan?
Chef: Why?
I: Because I really would like spend my lunch time here more often but the vegetarian schedule is scaring me off.
Chef: You make my heart cry.... Wait we had salad this week and French toast and ....
I: Yes and you had the horrible carrot celery thing too.
Chef: I'll think about the burger.
Today I had formally deep-frozen peas, corn, carrots and Brussels sprouts with pasta and Hollandaise sauce.
Maybe a look at VegCooking.com would help to find meals that are slightly more interesting than French toast and veggies with Hollandaise sauce.

Guess what ...
I visited my gym today. Surprisingly it was exactly where I left it the last time :). It nearly didn't change at all apart from the team they are "new" again. Since the weather is beginning to get worse or less friendly for outdoor exercise I will be there more often. The rest of the day had been filled with relaxing, crafting and taking photos. Here are some but the weather wasn't as nice as it was the days before:
I nearly forgot to tell you that we tried something new as our dinner. It's called Seitan and it's some sort of meat substitute for vegans. It's not hard to prepare and it can taste delicious. The next time we eat Seitan I will take a picture and show it to you. Are you convinced to try something new? Great you will find much information on the web page of the vegetarian resource group.
Take care and have a nice Sunday evening.

It's all about the food
It's a salad made out of bread dumpling, some veggies, and an oil and vinegar dressing. Yummy I love bavarian food.
Tomorrow morning I will stick to the diet by eating fruits I've already prepared:
Talking about nutrition is as complicated as talking about the recent politic developments in Germany. Everybody seems to know a little bit but everybody want's to make the big decisions. I once got the advice not to eat salad in the evening because I would not pass the intestine as it would during the day. Ever since I figured out that this is a religious question I listen to all advices and make up my mind later.
So whatever you are following as a nutrition plan, keep going if you feel good by doing so. In case you figure out that you don't like to follow that specific one don't bother there are more than 600 so called healthy ones just waiting to be tested out ;).
Or in other words: Life is now. Press play!

Busy preparation for tomorrow
Tomorrow is my birthday and we will celebrate mine and Andrea's with a "Open House" party.
To be ready for all the people we invited we started preparing with a big grocery shopping tour and now we entered the house cleaning and cooking phase. Here are some pictures from what we already created :).

Breakfast ;)
It's always good to have a calm morning with a good breakfast and coffee.
If I have prepared breakfast the night before, it might look like the one today:
Unfortunately, I stumbled over our kitchen organization and Andreas and I decided that it is suboptimal. Thus we will be reorganizing our stuff. I took a picture of one cupboard where all the absolutely useful and necessary Tupperware was stuffed in. Maybe we do own to many of all this useful, handy, and life lightening things. Anyhow I'll inform you on our projects and all the changes we will face.

New "kitchen" Item
We are proud owner of a brand new Weber Compact Kettle Grill. I had a notification in the mailbox yesterday telling me that there is a packet waiting for me at the local post station :(. These post people never deliver the packages late enough so that I can catch them directly.
Being curious we puzzled it together and tried to use it for the first time. Unfortunately, the weather changed from sunny to heavy rain when we tried to inflame the charcoal :(.
Here are some pictures before it started to rain:

Schnitzel's Story
Their once was a great meal, invented by austrian people called "Wiener Schnitzel" which was made out of thin slice of veal coated with bread crumbs. As time passed by other people tried to make this plate available to all people no matter how much money they can spend. Veal was exchanged with cheap pork and even more bread crumbs had been added.

To diferenciate the new dish from the origional one the part "Wiener" was cut of (at least in Germany).
Over the course of time the dish was exported to even more countries. This one is offered in Sweden:
